Artworks were required to bring warmth and vibrance into the environment, while also offering a cultural connection to the Emirates. The ritual of craft has been embedded into daily life in Dubai, skilfully working with their hands and tools, artisans explored raw materials to create works of both function and beauty. Taking inspiration from their techniques, mark-making, textures and rich patterns, and reinterpreting them into contemporary fine art with an industrial twist.
