The UAE’s Founding Father

Our most prestigious centre-piece to date; a visually stunning installation of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed. Displayed in the main lobby of DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square, the artwork is over 15m long and made up of over 29,000 identical pixel-like elements placed at varying angles to enable imagery, movement and character. This feature artwork has achieved global recognition for its artistic innovation and technical process.

Manufactured in collaboration with London based Giles Miller Studio, the intriguing and imposing work features a gradient of reflective tone as a backdrop to Sheikh Zayed, and is a feat of the artistic technique developed by the studio that only two different finishes of plated metal were used to create an image that appears to be highly varied and expressive in tonal depiction.
